Queen for a Day

Hello my blogging friends, today I am sharing my card for SISC 48 Photo au Mojo. We had to use this cool pic from Sephora as inspiration. I used the colors and shimmer. To get the shimmer on Maddie I had to borrow my daughters glitter pens. Wow, I didn't realize how cool those pens were until I used them, I may need to borrow them more often.

My Desert Island Itinerary

Hi there, today I am sharing my project for the second challenge over at Desert Island Crafters Challenge. This time around we are using my itinerary, how cool is that :)?? The way this challenge works is you need to pick at least 3 items from the itinerary and use them to create a project. Well my itinerary was inspired by  my love of Twilight. Can you tell?

Juanita's(MY) Desert Island Itinerary

1. Monochromatic
2. Movie or Book inspired
3. Buttons
4. The word “ FRIEND(S)” in your sentiment
5. Border Punch
6. Only one pattern paper
7. The color Red
8. No flowers
9. Swirls
10. Sparkle

So for my project I had planned to make a card. But I found these chocolates at Target and knew I had to make a topper. I used Bella and Cubs by Spesch Stamps for the first time. I've had the image forever, so nice to finally color it in. The items on the itinerary that I used were 2. Twilight, 5. SU border punch, 6. one piece of pattern paper by Echo Park, 7. the color red, 8. no flowers, 9. swirls in paper and bling and 10. sparkle with the swirly bling. 7 out of 10 isn't bad.

SBC White Out

Happy Friday everyone, I'm here to share my card for Simply Betty Challenge White Out. Since many of you have been experiencing lots of the fluffy white stuff out side we thought it would be fun to make a project in honor of it. We want to see you make a card with just white, you can add color to your image only. Sounds challenging but once I went through my supplies, it really wasn't that hard. The key for me were the cuttlebug embossing folders and the glitter card stock. I love the way this turned out, I hope you can find some time to join us.

SISC46

Good morning friends, here's the card I made for SISC 46. The challenge is this awesome sketch that Beth came up with. I used Joszette this time around. I colored her with Copics to go with my favorite Echo Park Be Mine pattern papers. I distressed the edges of the papers with my scissors then sponged them with 2 different shades of grey ink (I was going for subtle, maybe a little too subtle though). The hardest part for me was ripping the pattern paper, it felt so wrong to do, lol. It did in the end turn out fine, I guess I just worry about ruining a precious piece of paper.
I hope you get a chance to join us at StampInsanity

Little Princess

Hello, are you all having a great weekend? I am planning on spending my weekend getting ahead on my DT cards since I was not on top of things last month.

This is my card for Di's Digi Downloads. The image is Princess Lou, she reminds me of my niece. She has long wavy hair and is a girly girl. I kept my card pretty simple because I didn't want to cover up any of the Echo Park Little Girl pattern paper. I hand stitched around the card just to keep it from being too plain. Have a good weekend. Hopefully I will have more cards to share later.

Challenges:
Cards and Things 64- Sketch

Stamping Vacation No No Challenge- No Tags

Fussy and Fancy 29

Here is my card for Fussy and Fancy Challenge 29. Our theme is Valentines without pink or red. Our sponsors is Di's Digi Downloads, Di is generously donating 5 of her gorgeous digi's to one lucky winner.

My card features Because I Care. I followed the sketch from Unscripted Sketches. I'm not sure if you can tell but I hand stitched for the first time on this card. It wasn't hard, just time consuming. I will definitely be doing it again. I think I may give this card to my daughter's teacher. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you get a chance to join us at Fussy and Fancy.
