SISC 45 Non Traditional Valentine

Hello friends, today I am sharing the card I made for SISC 45, Non Traditional Valentine. I decided to go with non traditional Valentine colors. Funny thing is I colored this image before I even had the Little Girl pattern paper by Echo Park. It was a great surprise to see how well the colors of the paper went with this image. It was perfect for my non traditional Valentine. I used Halloween Henry with a sentiment from Zeke and Maddie, both sets are available at the SI Store.

Looking For My Mojo

Hi blogging friends, I feel like such a slacker when it comes to making cards lately. My mojo has been on hiatus ever since I started working out in the beginning of the year. Seriously I want my mojo back, but I can't stop working out. I need to drop a lot of weight and this is the only way I'm going to be able to do it. Well, since my mojo has been missing I just now realized I had not created this months DT cards for Di's Digi Downloads. For some reason I thought I still had till next week. Where did this month go??  I have no clue, but it's just about gone. I will be at CHA this weekend so I needed to get this card done pretty quickly. I colored Carlys Caress to go with this pattern paper by My Mind's Eye. I used the sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp. I'm becoming more and more of a fan of less is more, shh don't tell the girls at Fussy and Fancy that I said that, lol. Anyways, I feel like I'm babbling and I know most people don't even read this so I will stop now.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hello, here's a card I made for Paper Pretties Facebook page. They generously offered a free digi to the first 3 to comment on a post. I was the third to reply so I got to pick an image to use. Well, it was hard to decide which one but finally settled on this ballerina. I made this card for my niece who just started taking ballet classes. I followed the sketch at 2 Sisters Challenge Blog
Need to run, thanks for stopping by.

Fussy and Fancy 28

Here is my card for Fussy and Fancy 28. Our sponsor is Digi Doodle Shop, who generously donated images for the DT to use. I used First Love with one of their freebie sentiments. I knew once I saw this image I wanted to use it with this sketch. You can't really tell from the picture but the image is in three layers. The pattern paper is Bo Bunny and the bling is by Kaiser Craft.

Sorry for the short post but I'm not feel so great. I was sick yesterday, woke up feeling much better. Now I'm feeling sick again. Great! Anyway, thanks for taking a look at my card. I hope you get a chance to play along with us at Fussy and Fancy.

SISC 43 Shades of You

It's Thursday so that means there's a new challenge over at StampInsanity. SISC 43 is called Shades of You, Beth would like for you to chose your favorite color and only use shades of it and white but only if you must.

My favorite color is purple so I decided to make a card for Katie. If you have not read her story I highly recommend you head to her blog. Her battle with the cancer began just before Christmas. She has been journaling about her unexpected journey and does so with so much strength and courage that I thought this sentiment was perfect. I used Katie for a Cure, different Katie similar battle.

 Challenges:
Sketch and Stash 53- Sketch (pattern paper was bought many yrs. ago first time using it)

New Challenge Blog Looking for You

A quick post to let you know that Suzi is starting up a new challenge blog called Desert Islands Crafts Challenges. She is currently on the hunt for DT members, so if you are interested I recommend you check it out because the deadline to apply is Jan 24th with the first Challenge on Feb. 1st. Here's some info I copied from Desert Islands Crafts Challenges...

Do you fancy a new challenge?  How about picking your Desert Island Itinerary, a list of items, techniques and colours you'd want to have available on your perfect Desert Island Project.  Sound like fun?

"Every 2 Weeks you'll be challenged to create a project using the items listed on that week's Desert Island Itinerary.

Each Desert Island Itinerary will have 10 items/techniques/colours. Of which you must use atleast 3.

A New Challenge will be posted on the 1st & 15th of each month.

The Prize, one participant picked by Random.org will get to choose their Desert Island Itinerary for a forthcoming challenge.

You are welcome to use any companies products & images as long as you link back to your source."

But What is a Challenge Blog without a Design Team, you've got to have some Eye Candy and Inspiration.
Do you want to be on DIsC DT?  Do you have an Active Blog? Time to create 1 or 2 projects a month?  If the answer to all these questions is Yes, then email me your details, with a couple of examples of your work, and a little about yourself.  The Design Team Call is open to anyone, anywhere in the world, and will close at MidnightGMT on 24th January 2011.

I will announce the DT on the 26th January, and we'll have our first challenge on the 1st February 2011.

Sounds like fun, can't wait to see what the first challenge will be.

Teen Love

Hi everyone, today I am sharing a card I made last night. I was kind of nice making a card because I wanted to, not because I had to for a DT commitment. I am going to try really hard to do it more often. I decided I am done trying out for new DT's. I am on three that I really enjoy being a part of so why add more and make my life stressful. This is suppose to be my time to de-stress. I'm not gong to lie I still like to see all the new DT calls and get the itch to try out. Why is that? I don't know, I think I'm crazy for it sometimes, lol.

Anyways, this card was made using 2 images from Simply Betty Stamps, Miller Back To School and Betty Valentine. I colored them with copics to use with this Bo Bunny pattern paper. The tag has some Echo Park Be Mine pattern paper and the sentiment is a sticker from the Be Mine Collection. Thanks for stopping by :).

SISC 41 Hardcore Hardware

Happy Thursday everyone, today there is a new challenge over at StampInsanity. SISC 41 is Hardcore Hardware, basically use some metal on your projects. I used Pierrette from Les Coquettes digi set, she can be found at the SI Store. She is colored in with copics to go with this beautiful Bo Bunny paper I received for Christmas from Jennifer. My metal elements are brads and the heart and key charms I bought last year at Michael's.

I'm thinking of listing this card in my Etsy store, I just worry about shipping. For those of you that sell your cards how do you package them? I worry about corners getting bent. Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back tomorrow with a new project for Fussy and Fancy.

Challenges:
