Final Friends Having Fun Challenge

Good morning friends, today I am posting my last card for Friends Having Fun :(. Sadly this will be the final challenge. I'm sure the decision to end the challenge blog was not taken lightly. I just want to thank Tonya, Dani, Margie, Alison, Rebecca, Erica and the rest of the DT for letting me be a part of the team.

The final challenge we are using this gorgeous sketch by Dani. I hope you can join us for this final challenge.

Fussy and Fancy 15

So sorry for getting this post up so late. I totally forgot I needed to post this today. This is my card for Fussy and Fancy Challenge 15 Stitches, Scallops and Sparkle. Well, I don't have a sewing machine so I faux stitched. I used the sketch from Friends Having Fun with this super cute image by Stitchy Stamps called Short Shorts. Stichy is generously donating 5 digi's to the winner. She also donated images for the DT to create with.

FHF Recipe 4 Christmas In July

Good morning, today Friends Having Fun has a new recipe challenge.
Edited to add close up picture.

Theme: “Christmas in July”
- make a holiday card or scrapbook page (you can choose any wintery holiday: Christmas, Hanukah, Festivus, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, etc.) I made a Christmas card.
- make your card long and narrow to fit a business sized envelope (4 1/8 in x 9 ½ in). An easy dimension is to cut your 8.5 x 11 cardstock to 8 in by 9 in and score the long way down the middle (yields a folded card size of 4 x 9). If you are scrabooking, one of the elements in your layout should be this size. My card is 4 x 8.
- incorporate your favorite technique. I inked up the image panel with sponge. I also used my copics.
As an optional element/ingredient:   theme it something “holiday” in your home state or country. For example, Rebecca is in Florida …. a Christmas theme may include the beach like theme like a surfin’ santa, a sea shell christmas tree, etc.

Supplies:
SU card stock
Pattern paper from Oriental Trading Co (really old)
Sparkly Fluff
Flower Soft
Copics

FHF Recipe # 3

Good morning friends. Today I am doing a quick post to share a card I made for Friends Having Fun Recipe # 3. Here's The recipe:

Theme Birthday
Create a shape using brads or eyelets
use a number/s
tie a bow somewhere on project
use a tag

Honestly I'm not very happy with my card. I lost track of time and threw this together yesterday. I plan on making something else sometime this week to do the challenge justice. I hope you get a chance to play along with us at FHF.

FHFSC 3 and SPCC 52

Good morning, today I am sharing a card that I made for a few of my DT responsibilities. I combined Friends Having Fun Sketch #3 with the color combo at SPCC #52. The adorable image is from another DT, Di's Digi Downloads. Wow, that's 3 DT's on one card. I usually separate my DT responsibilities but I haven't been feeling well for about a month. This was the best way to for me to keep up with my duties.

The FHF Sketch team is looking for new DT members. If you are interested please check out the details here. There's also a DT call for the FHF Recipe team here. Since I'm listing DT calls I should also let you know that Fussy and Fancy is also having a DT call here.

FHF Recipe Challenge 2

Is it Monday already? Yikes where did my weeken
d go? I went too fast and this is the last week of school for the kids. I have a feeling this week is going to go by fast.

This week is a new recipe challenge over at Friends Having Fun. The recipe this time around is to use pastel colors, embossing (wet or dry) and handmade flower(s). Our sponsor is StampInsanity.

I used Maddie from the set Zeke and Maddie by StampInsanity. I used Caardvark's May Sketch for my card. I made the pink rose, can't believe I remembered how to make them from high school. The crochet flower was made by Jennifer's mom. I used a cuttlebug folder to emboss the pink card stock. I hope you like, thanks for stopping by!

Friends Having Fun Sketch 2

Good morning everyone. Today is the second Monday of the month so that means there is a new Sketch Challenge over at Friends Having Fun. This month's Sketch was so much fun. Our sponsor this time around is *Wink *Wink Ink. They were kind of to donate images for the DT to use. Their images come for you to color and pre colored. For my project I used a pre colored image. Too cool, right :) Hope all the mommies out there had a fabulous Mother's Day.

Friends Having Fun Recipe Challenge

Hello again, this is my post for Friends Having Fun's First Recipe Challenge. The recipe is below.

Theme: April Fool's!

a shiny application (stickles, glitter, shimmerz, glimmer mists...)
3 different patterned papers
hand cut your patterned papers!!!!(my hand cut DP are Maddie's dress, Zeke's
shirt and pants)
a funny quote, phrase or sentiment

This challenge is being sponsored by:
Photobucket
The winner of this challenge will
win a $10.00 GC to the store!

Wow, what a cool recipe, huh? The toughest part was the hand cutting 3 different DP. I decided that if I used Zeke and Maddie I could paper piece their clothes. I then had to find DP that would look good on Zeke. Ok so I cheated a bit because I colored over Zeke's pants. If you look closely though you can see the DP :). I'm not sure if my sentiment is funny but it was really funny to me when I made this card, the hubby and daughter didn't get it though.
I very carefully gave Maddie fangs with my black Copic. I put glitter glue all over her dress and added the black bling for my sparkle.

I hope you get a chance to join us at Friends Having Fun. I also hope you get a chance to visit the rest of the DT.
Supplies:
SU card stock, DP, and border punch
Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die
Glitter glue
Copics: E000 E27 E29, E33, E35, E51, E53, Y32,
Y35, Y38, R59, B02, C1, C3, C5, C7, and 100

FHF Sketch Hand in Hand

Happy Monday everyone. Today I bring you my first project as a Friends Having Fun DT member. I hope you take some time to check out the challenges. Every week there will be a different challenge. Each weeks challenge has a different set of DT members to share their creation. Isn't that cool, you will get to see so many different styles each week. On the second Monday of every month we'll be bringing you a new project featuring a sketch designed by Dani. This month's sketch challenge is sponsored by Prairie Fairy. Prairie Fairy generously donated images for the DT to use.
For my card I used A Helping Hand by Prairie Fairy. Isn't that such a sweet image, love the little guy in his overalls :). I colored the image to go with this beautiful Bo Bunny DP.
Thanks for stopping by!

2 Cute Happy Birthday Penguin

I made this card with Happy Birthday Penguin from 2 Cute Rubber Stamps. I used Crystal Effects on the ice cube along with some Sparkly Fluff on top of the cube. I was trying to make it look like the penguin was sitting on soft snow. I used the color combo from Friends Having Fun first challenge. I thought these colors were perfect for this image. With these colors, simple sketch and embossing, I think this is a perfect boy card. I have so much trouble with boy cards that I think I'm going to have to start making a stash of them. So I'm not trying to make one when one is needed. Below are the other challenges I'm entering this card into.

Challenges:
Friends Having Fun -Color Challenge 1
The Corrosive Challenge 58- Sketch
A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #98- One for the Boys
