Fussy and Fancy 15

So sorry for getting this post up so late. I totally forgot I needed to post this today. This is my card for Fussy and Fancy Challenge 15 Stitches, Scallops and Sparkle. Well, I don't have a sewing machine so I faux stitched. I used the sketch from Friends Having Fun with this super cute image by Stitchy Stamps called Short Shorts. Stichy is generously donating 5 digi's to the winner. She also donated images for the DT to create with.

SISC19 Mini Album of Love

Today there is a new sketch challenge over at StampInsanity. I decided I wanted to do anything but a card this week. When I read this sentiment I thought it would be perfect for an album. I pulled out some coasters I bought a while back. I found this tutorial and used parts of it to make my album. All 5 pages have a pocket. I haven't done anything to the inside, not sure what to do yet. The sentiment from Les Coquettes set by StampInsanity

FHF Recipe 4 Christmas In July

Good morning, today Friends Having Fun has a new recipe challenge.
Edited to add close up picture.

Theme: “Christmas in July”
- make a holiday card or scrapbook page (you can choose any wintery holiday: Christmas, Hanukah, Festivus, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, etc.) I made a Christmas card.
- make your card long and narrow to fit a business sized envelope (4 1/8 in x 9 ½ in). An easy dimension is to cut your 8.5 x 11 cardstock to 8 in by 9 in and score the long way down the middle (yields a folded card size of 4 x 9). If you are scrabooking, one of the elements in your layout should be this size. My card is 4 x 8.
- incorporate your favorite technique. I inked up the image panel with sponge. I also used my copics.
As an optional element/ingredient:   theme it something “holiday” in your home state or country. For example, Rebecca is in Florida …. a Christmas theme may include the beach like theme like a surfin’ santa, a sea shell christmas tree, etc.

Supplies:
SU card stock
Pattern paper from Oriental Trading Co (really old)
Sparkly Fluff
Flower Soft
Copics

Good morning friends, today there's a new challenge at StampInsanity. For  SISC18 you are to use your Radical Ribbon and Rockin' Rhinestones. I used Summer Lovin' Maddie (a StampInsanity freebie) with one of my favorite color combos. I hope you get a chance to play with some ribbon and rhinestones so you can join us.

SISC17 Water, Water Everywhere

Here's my card for StamInsanity Challenge 17 Water, Water - Everywhere . This is another summer inspired theme. What do you think when you think of summer and water? Well I think of my kids playing in the pool. We have an above ground pool that gets put up every summer. It's not that big since we have a tiny back yard but it's big enough for my kids and a few of their friends.

For my card I decided to use this blue because it reminds me of the color the water looks against the pool liner. I used Hang Ten Henry from Beach Babes by StampInsanity. I wanted to use more of the blue but all I could find were a few strips of it in my stash. I found this sketch from Mojo Monday # 146. It was perfect for the strips of blue card stock.

Fussy and Fancy Christmas in July

Happy Friday my dear bloggy friends. Today there is a new challenge over at Fussy Fancy, our theme is Christmas In July. Our sponsor this time around is Simon Says Stamps. They are generously offering one lucky winner a $15 gift certificate to spend as like.

For my card I used Morgan from Naughty and Nice stamp set by StampInsanity. I colored her in with my Copics. I added some Polar White Flower Soft to the trim of the Santa hat and the dress. The sentiment was computer generated so I could use the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday #56

Thanks for stopping by. Have a fabulous weekend!
