Joy's Birthday Card

I made this card using the sketch from Sketch Saturday. I'm sending this card to a friend who's birthday is this weekend.
This super sweet image is called Midsummer Tilda by Magnolia Stamps. I am very fortunate to have friends who love their Tilda's. I get to play with these adorable stamps because of April and Mindy. I know this Tilda is suppose to be standing on one foot but I wanted to make her look like she was trying to fly like the butterflies in the DP. This DP is so beautiful that I didn't want to cover it up, that's why the sentiment is on the DP and Tilda is floating on the card.

I created this card for Paper Sundaes 15th challenge Build a Paper Sundae (use 3 DP, 2 Card stocks and 1 flower). Thanks for stopping by :).

Fussy and Fancy Birthday Treat

Hello my fellow bloggers, today is finally Friday! That means there's a new challenge over at Fussy and Fancy. The theme for the next 2 weeks is Birthday, but not just any Birthday. We want you to include a sweet treat(cupcake, cake, candy, etc.) on your project. Fun right :). Our sponsor is Sassy Studio Designs. Lindsay generously donated images for some of the DT to use and the winner of the challenge will be able to choose 4 images of their choice.

I am using Birthday Surprise, which happens to be a new image from Sassy Studio Designs. She was so much fun to color, I am totally loving the way her hair turned out. Below are a couple other challenges I made this card for.

2 Cute Birthday Tag and My Craft Space

Today I would like to share a quick birthday tag using Kitty Surprise Digi, this sweet image can be found at the 2 Cute Digi Shop. Kitty Surprise is a great image to use for kid's birthday cards and tags. I made this for Paper Sundaes Challenge- No People.

Supplies:
SU Card stock, DP, ribbon and sentiment
Nestabilities oval and scallop oval
Copics:E000, E02, E51, E53, B32, B37, and B39

Now on to my crafty space, otherwise known as the dining room. This is where a good chunk of my time in front of the computer, oh and I make some of my cards here too :).
Here's another view, it was kind of hard getting a good picture since my space is cramped with these things called a table and chairs, lol. Yes that table gets used for crafting but mainly it serves it purpose as the place we eat meals.
This is my hutch, that was originally suppose to store stemware and liquor. Well slowly my cards and supplies have started taking over. I'm sure eventually I will have the whole thing taken over, hehe.
Here's another view and you can see the table in this one.
This shelf was given to me by Jennifer for my birthday a couple of years ago. I have some embellishments, my ink pads and some projects up there. I also have some cards that were sent to me displayed up there.
I hope you enjoyed the short tour of my space.

Friends Having Fun Recipe Challenge

Hello again, this is my post for Friends Having Fun's First Recipe Challenge. The recipe is below.

Theme: April Fool's!

a shiny application (stickles, glitter, shimmerz, glimmer mists...)
3 different patterned papers
hand cut your patterned papers!!!!(my hand cut DP are Maddie's dress, Zeke's
shirt and pants)
a funny quote, phrase or sentiment

This challenge is being sponsored by:
Photobucket
The winner of this challenge will
win a $10.00 GC to the store!

Wow, what a cool recipe, huh? The toughest part was the hand cutting 3 different DP. I decided that if I used Zeke and Maddie I could paper piece their clothes. I then had to find DP that would look good on Zeke. Ok so I cheated a bit because I colored over Zeke's pants. If you look closely though you can see the DP :). I'm not sure if my sentiment is funny but it was really funny to me when I made this card, the hubby and daughter didn't get it though.
I very carefully gave Maddie fangs with my black Copic. I put glitter glue all over her dress and added the black bling for my sparkle.

I hope you get a chance to join us at Friends Having Fun. I also hope you get a chance to visit the rest of the DT.
Supplies:
SU card stock, DP, and border punch

Mother In Law's Birthday Card

This is going to be a quick post because everyone will be here in an hour to celebrate my Mother in law's birthday. Her birthday is actually on Tuesday but not everyone can get together that day so last night I found out everyone was coming here. I colored this image yesterday mainly so I could play in some challenges next week. Well since I knew I wouldn't have time to color a new image I decided it was perfect for her card. I found this sketch at Card Patterns and though it was perfect for this image. Ok gotta run so I can get the kids and hubby to sign it before she gets here.

Sweet Memories

Wahoo, I have a card to share that isn't part of an DT requirements. So nice to play with my goodies for the fun of it. I bought this image a couple of days ago from Di's Digi Downloads. She has so many images that I fell in love with but I had to settle for getting just a few, for now. I just love her hair, and it was so much fun to color in. Her teddy bear reminds me of my daughters build a bear, I think she even used to hold it by the ear, lol. I think I went a bit crazy with the distressing, what do you think? I don't know but I think with all the brown and distressing I was trying to channel my inner Jen. Now I'm not saying my card compares to her fab work, just saying I was feeling her vibe as I made this card. Well thanks for visiting, hopefully I can sneak another fun card in this week.

What do you do with your cards?

Seriously I want to know. Do you actually give them away, lol? I have no clue why I hoard my cards but this is getting ridiculous. I thought I would put some things in this file container while I cleaned up my stamping area but look it's full of cards already. Most of them are old, not even my style anymore. Do I strip them of their embellishments or what??? Help me please.

2 Cute Happy Birthday Penguin

I made this card with Happy Birthday Penguin from 2 Cute Rubber Stamps. I used Crystal Effects on the ice cube along with some Sparkly Fluff on top of the cube. I was trying to make it look like the penguin was sitting on soft snow. I used the color combo from Friends Having Fun first challenge. I thought these colors were perfect for this image. With these colors, simple sketch and embossing, I think this is a perfect boy card. I have so much trouble with boy cards that I think I'm going to have to start making a stash of them. So I'm not trying to make one when one is needed. Below are the other challenges I'm entering this card into.

SPCC 42 Butterfly Wishes

Here's a quick card I put together for SPCC #42, I had envisioned this being more elegant then it turned out. I love this butterfly die, even after making those centerpieces with it. I thought I was going to not want to look at another butterfly after making hundreds of then, but no I still love using this die. Not much to share about this card, other than my arm was still pretty messed up when I made this. Can you see how I couldn't get a clean impression with the sentiment. I took 3 tries to get it this good. I'm happy to say my arm is feeling so much better. I am about 95% healed.

Have you checked out the new challenge over at Friends Having Fun. Every week there will be a new ch
allenge with different themes and different DT members sharing. This weeks challenge is a color challenge, next week is a sketch. I'm one of the Sketch Sorority Sisters and I'll be sharing a card along with some other very talented ladies. It's going to so much fun so head on over and become a follower.

April's Birthday Card

Here's a card I made for April, I gave it to her on Saturday and her birthday was yesterday. I hope you had a great day April. She was super sweet and took us Fussy and Fancy Founders to a Tea House to celebrate on Saturday before our monthly stamp class. We had a fancy tea party, April yours are just as nice if not even better. The whole day was a blast, can you believe we hung out from noon till 7PM, lol. I think we need to do the whole day thing more often because it was so much fun.

When I made this card I intended to enter it into The Wild Flower Kids Challenge 7 which was to use ribbon and hand made flowers (a crochet flower is hand made, right, even if I didn't make it). On Monday when I was going to post Blogger was having issues. Well I forgot to post it so I missed that challenge, but that's okay. This weeks Wild Flower Kids Challenge is A Birthday Wish, ha isn't the sentiment perfect for that :). Thanks for visiting!
