Shy Hilda in Green

I am so loving this cute little Hilda from Motivet. I am pleased with the way I colored her using my SU watercolor pencils and aqua painter. I do have on problem though... I have no clue what SU color that green is. This is the second time I used one of my SU watercolor pencils and can't find the paper to match it, what the heck right. I thought all SU supplies were suppose to match, that is why I bought them. Anyways that was my rant, lol. I had issues putting this card together cause I didn't know what papers to use. I remembered I had this really old stack of DP so I pulled it out. It matched so I used i in the back ground. The gingham paper was given to me by my friend April. Oh and the idea to lay the oval on it's side was Jennifer's. I was going to put Hilda in the oval but Jennifer suggested I do it this way, Thanks Jennifer! I think this is the first card I'm posting to my blog that I did not do for a challenge.

Pink and Brown Blingy Christmas

Wow there's a lot of bling on this card, lol. Once I stared putting it on I couldn't stop. I made this card for 2 challenges. The first was for SPCC Christmas Color Combo #4, I love pink and brown for Christmas colors. I am going to try as many of SPCC's challenges as I can because Samantha is looking for new DT members. I've never really did color challenges so I need to see if I can create with limited colors. I think I can I'm just so used to using certain colors and this will make me think outside the box. The second challenge I did this for is Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch #16.

Supplies Cardstock and stamps are all SU, cuttlebug snowflake folder, dazzling diamonds, bling is from me & my BiG ideas

Birthday Penny

I have another Penny to share with everyone. Isn't she too cute. She was designed by my friend Mindy and can be purchased at 2 red bananas. I colored Penny using the colors from SPCC#16, I used my aqua painter and SU color pencils and in color markers. The sketch is from a challenge blog that I just found called Unscripted Sketches sketch #25.

Supplies all SU except for Penny stamp and flower ( my friend Jennifer's mom made it).

Edward in the Fall

Here's a card I made using Twilight Tuesday's Sketch Challenge 11. I colored Edward last weekend intending to use him in Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combo Challenge #15, but then I got sick and did no card making for the week :(. So I know it is too late to enter the card in their challenge I did want them to know I planned on playing with them.

Card details all supplies are SU except Edward who is from The Greeting Farm and my oval nesties. I used my 2 way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds on Edward's skin and dimensionals to raise the main panel. I used the nesties and cut oval out of the DP and stamped sentiment on card base. Thanks for looking.

Peyton's Birthday Card

I made this cute card for my daughter's fried who is having a birthday party tomorrow. I let my daughter pick which stamp she wanted me to use and she picked this cute Miss Anya . I knew I wanted to use my SU Razzleberry Lemonade DP, so I colored her with my aqua painter and SU in Color Markers. I used the sketch from Delightful Sketches Sketch # 7. I love everything about this card except for the DP, lol. I think it looks to busy in the background, maybe I should have just chosen one DP and used cardstock on the bands.

Do any of you know of a good watercolor tutorial you could recommend? I only have SU color pencils, a few SU markers and ink pads. I know I need Copics but have to wait on those. Any help will truly be appreciated.

A Double Take on Christmas Cards

I know, I know your thinking Christmas cards already. Well I found this challenge blog called Scrapmaster's Paradise Presents Color Combo or SPCC. This weeks challenge called Christmas Combo #2 was to use Old Olive, Handsome Hunter and Real Red. I made these 2 cards because at Sweet Sketch Wednesday their challenge is a double take or 2 different sketches. I wasn't sure if I chose just one or if I needed to do both so I just decided to do both sketches.

While making these cards, I came to the conclusion that I prefer coloring in images over solid stamp images. A big shock since just a few months ago I hated coloring in anything, lol. I owe it all to Mindy, she always makes us color at stamp class. Now I need to find new Christmas stamps because most of mine are solid images. Supplies All SU except the hohoho stamp that I got from the Michael's dollar bin last year.

I had planned on using this image for a different card for her because she is a nurse.I'm happy with the way this card turned out, sad that Rachel is hurting.

All supplies are SU except for main image and Nestabilities used to cut out square and scalloped square.

Birthday card for Ronnie

I can't believe I have finally made this card. I have had this vision in my head ever since I first saw Twilight Tuesday's TTSC10. Well I couldn't procrastinate anymore because I needed a birthday card for my brother in law whose birthday is today. The stamp is from Auntie Amy's, I had to mask part of the stamp that I didn't want on this card. All supplies except for the wolf stamp are SU. Thanks for looking!

Hilda in Pumpkin Pie

Can I start out by saying I love this cute little Shy Hilda from Motivet? Well, I do. She is super cute and I had so much fun coloring her in. I can't believe I even used my least favorite color orange on her, lol. She told me she wanted an orange dress so I went with it. I got the sketch from Inspirational Card Sketch but I flipped it on it's side so I could use this image.

I colored Hilda in using my SU watercolor pencils and aqua painter. Cardstock is SU Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray and Crushed Curry, DP is SU Razzleberry Lemonade, flower was white and I colored it in with my Crushed Curry marker (not sure where it came from), bling is from Michael's Dollar section.

Miss Anya Bookmark

Isn't this Miss Anya, just too cute. She can be found here. I colored her in using my SU watercolor pencils and my aqua painter. I have a feeling my 10 year old daughter is so going to want this card, or at least the bookmark.
Well, yesterday I was blog surfing and came across several challenges I wanted to do. I was at Pile it on and found the theme of using black and white and one more color. I was also at Tuesday Taggers where you needed to make a bookmark, then I found this sketch at Card Positioning System. Since I was doing this for Pile it on, I didn't think 3 challenges were enough so I started look for another one to add to this card and I stumbled upon Stamp Something challenge which was to use you favorite embellishment. My favorite embellishments are ribbon and bling so used both.

I used Liquid Applique on all the white parts to make them fluffy. I also used dimensionals under little Miss Anya.
Supplies other then those listed above, Cardstock SU, Ribbon is from Oriental Company, Bling is from me & my BiG ideas, DP is from the SU mini holiday catalog, the chipboard stickers and metal bling are from the blog candy I won from Twilight Tuesday.

Cute Little Penny

I want to start out by apologizing for not being very active. This month has been full of ups and downs and last week I devoted much of myself to my friend, who needed me. I would so do it again for any of my friends, I learned a lot last week.

Ok on to my card. This card I made for Sweet Sketch Sunday's sketch #14. This super cute Penny stamp can be found here, isn't she too cute. My friend Mindy designed her and a few other stamps. All supplies SU except for Penny stamp and nestabilities.
Tutorial for cutting outside the lines with nesties can be found here.

A Card for a Dear Friend

This card I made for a new friend of mine. We met on a Facebook game. She is a remarkable woman who has been through a lot. Since I am not sharing her name I think I can share part of her story. She is a survivor of Sept. 11, 2001. She was on the 73 floor of Tower 2 on that day that will never be forgotten. How we began talking about her story is beyond me, but I am extremely honored that she confided in me. Well we stayed up late last night/early morning chatting and I knew I wanted to make a card letting her know that I am thinking of her. This month has to be extremely difficult for her and I wanted her to know she wasn't alone.

Now as far as the card itself goes, I made it using Sweet Sketch Wednesday's sketch # 13. All supplies are SU except the flower and pearl.
I used dimensionals to raise sentiment.

I colored a white paper flower black with my SU marker.

Rockabilly Anya

Hey everyone, I just want to start out by saying this week has been filled with ups and downs. First there was Stampin Up's news of a new Agreement that all Demos must sign in order to remain Demos. Well I personally have decided that by the end of this month I will no longer be a SU Demo. For me it is about not wanting SU to have control over my blog or Facebook account, others see it differently and I am fine with that. Then there was my Anniversary... hubby and I went to a nice dinner without kids. And then I had the pleasure of getting to know this amazing woman, who has forever touched my heart. I will talk about her in my next post :).

On to my card. I made this card for Inspirational Card Sketches Challenge #32. I used my cute little Anya from The Greeting Farm and I colored her in withe my SU inks and my aqua painter ( I need some fancy markers). All supplies are SU except Anya stamp, bling on here dress, and my nestabilaties.

Hubby's Anniversary Card

Tomorrow is my 14 year anniversary with my hubby. I planned on working on a card this weekend for him, but didn't get to it because I was sick. So today I was looking through the challenges for ideas on a card I could make for him. I was over at Inspirational Card Sketches and discovered that they are looking for DT members. Well to enter you need to use their sketch found here. I thought it was a good sketch to use for the hubby's card. I'm looking to join a design team and this one looks like a good one because you get to use your own supplies, therefore not being limited in anyway. Thanks for taking a peek at my card :).
Supplies all SU unless other wise noted. Card stock Basic Black, Real Red, DP Christmas Cocoa and Night and Day Specialty (both from holiday mini),Ink Whisper White, Stazon Black, stamps Friends 24-7 and Forever in My Heart (retired), Heart metal accents (not sure where they are from).
