Hearts for Fussy and Fancy Challenge 3

Happy Friday everyone! This card is for Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge 3 Hearts. I knew as soon as I seen this image, it was going to be the one i used for this challenge. It is called Bella Hearts Bronte by Mo's Digital Pencil. It was a freebie at their Paper Craft Planet Group. I actually made this card a couple of weeks ago because I couldn't wait to color the image in. I colored the image to go with this gorgeous Bobunny DP that was generously donated to the Fussy and Fancy DT by Tonya from Stamp Happens. She has also generously donated the prize to one lucky winner, so make sure you play along for your chance to win.

2 Cute Little Firefighter

It is here, the debut of 2 Cute Rubber Stamps Design Team Blog. I am fortunate enough to be a part of this talented group of ladies, go and see all the fabulous creations they made. I was asked to be on the DT by Sammye Jo. I took one look at 2 Cute Rubber Stamps by Heidi and knew I would have no problem creating with these adorable stamps.

The DT blog will have daily posts by a different DT member each day (my day is Wed.). I hear followers will have a chance to win a 2 Cute Stamp sometime this week. I also hear that there will be monthly challenges where you will get a chance to download a free digi and the winner of the challenge will receive a 2 Cute Rubber Stamp. So hop on over and become a follower.

I made my first DT card using Little Firefighter Girl , isn't she too cute. I chose a simple layout because I wanted her to be the star. I look forward to sharing more of my creations using 2 Cute Stamps with you. I hope you go and look at Heidi's blog. She has an area where you can rate some of her sketches and there is an area where you can tell her what you want to see in a stamp. She really wants to create what stampers are looking for so I hope you can give her some feedback, it would be much appreciated. Thanks :).

TTSC 18 and TTIC 60

Hope everyone is having a happy Tuesday, here in Southern Cal we are dealing with rain storms. Earlier we even had a tornado warning, which was pretty freaky because the map on the news showed it going right through our area. Luckily the warning was called off but it was raining cats and dogs there for some time.
Well, before the rains came through I started this card for Twilight Tuesday. I combined the sketch from yesterday with todays challenge, TTIC 60 Red. I used this SU DP, the only reason I bought it was because it had a Twilight feel to it :). The sentiment is from StampInsanity Zeke and Maddie stamp set, I find this sentiment is so Edward, lol. I crinkled up the sentiment and inked it up with Close To Cocoa ink and my sponge. I distressed the edges of the DP with the edge of my scissors, then sponged them with Close To Cocoa. The brads are from Bobunny, sorry I don't know which collection since I took it out of the package. The card stock is also SU. Thanks for looking.

Maddie's Pretty in Pink and Green

Guess who got new stamps in the mail yesterday?? If you guessed me, you were right, lol. I placed an order for some embellishments and a couple StampInsanity Stamps at Stamp Happens last Friday. I can't believe I got my embellishments in less than a week. The stamps took a week because they came from Beth but I say that was super fast delivery for both packages :). I couldn't just let beautiful Maddie sit uninked till Monday so I inked her up today. I was trying to take a picture that would capture the sparkle of the Spica but I don't think you can see it very well :(. I only put it on her collar and the green parts of her dress (I think you can see it on the bottom pic if you click on it). After I color Maddie in I found this perfect sketch from Sketch Saturday #86. I love the way this turned out, I hope you do too :).

Here are the other challenges I made this for

Card Patterns 46

It is so nice to sit down and create. I made this card for Card Patterns Sketch 46. I colored Miss Anya over the weekend, I stamped the image on Georgia Pacific Card stock and used my copics to color it in. I am not liking this paper for coloring with my copics, I had issues with the colors bleeding out of the lines. I would love to hear what white card stock you use and how happy you are with it. I have also used SU Whisper White but I find some colors sit on top of the paper and don't blend.
As soon as I seen this sketch I knew I was going to make a bookmark with the tag panel. I flip the sketch to go with the image I used. Thanks for looking :).

SPCC 30 Hippie Anya

I made this card for SPCC 30. I used Hippie Anya from The Greeting Farm. I colored her in with my Copics (I was lucky to have colors that matched). I didn't have any DP in these colors so I decided to use a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The card stock and ribbon are both SU. I decided to not put a sentiment and wait till I use it. Thanks for looking :).

Had to share

A couple of pics of my Copic color chart before my trip to Carpe Diem with the after. Sorry the before pic was taken in horrible lighting. I wanted to color it in so I wasn't paying good attention to how well the picture came out.

This is my Birthday gift from Hubby, I also got a case to store them in, a couple of refills and a couple of clear Spica pens (one for me and one for Jennifer). I know there are still a lot of blank spaces but I'm ok with that. I don't need every single color, my main goal was to make what I already have better. I think I accomplished that so I will happily be coloring away :).

Die Cuts R Us Challenge 20

I made this card for Die Cuts R Us Challenge 20, the challenge asks that you use the colors of their logo as inspiration. Sadly I don't have the right copics so I couldn't color. I tried to watercolor yesterday and I didn't like the way it looked so I decided to use my butterfly die from SU. The colors are so bright and cheery, they make me think of spring. Thinking of spring reminded me that I had this DCWV Spring Stack, the papers were perfect for this challenge.
I think I lost my Mojo, because I want to create but I keep coming up with nothing. I know it's because I have so many other things that need to get done, but really who wants to do laundry and clean house. The kids are gone and I want to create before the get home, lol. I think I am going to get everything done tonight so I can relax and play tomorrow.
Oh did I tell you I started doing the Wii Active, wow that gives you a good workout. I am sore from yesterdays workout, thankfully the trainer gave me today off, lol. I am doing the 30 day challenge, we'll see how it goes. Anyways getting active was part of my resolution I mentioned the other day and just wanted you all to know that I started. Anyways if you find my mojo please return it because I miss it. Hopefully I will have something to post tomorrow.

Supplies SU Card stock, sentiment and die, DP is DCWV, ribbon is from Oriental Trading Co (several years old), Bling is Michael's Dollar bin

TTSC 17 and TTIC 59 Sparkle

Oh my it is nice to be back to creating non Christmas and non Sweet 16 projects. Oh I feel like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders now that Christmas and my nieces Sweet 16 are over. I am excited to finally to do a Twilight Tuesday card. This card is for 2 of their challenges the first is yesterdays TTSC 17, I needed to use their sketch. The second challenge this is for is todays TTIC 59 Sparkle. I've had the My Guy Ian image colored for a while, I pulled him out and added some dazzling diamonds to his skin and cut him out. I used Making Memories DP, SU card stock and sentiment, nesties oval and scallop oval and copics. Thanks for looking :). I wanted to add something, doesn't this card scream OHIO STATE, hehe. Hubby would not like me associating Ohio State with a sparkly vampire but he'll never know, lol.

Fussy and Fancy Friday's First Challenge

Wahoo we are finally kicking off our very first challenge over at Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge . The first challenge is NEW, you can interpret it to mean what you want. For this card there are a few NEWs, first being this lovely image called PMS Fairy from Paper Makeup Stamps. I used a NEW technique since this is my first easel card. Also this was my first time using Sharpies on a card (I didn't have a hot pink Copic so I went for the sharpie that has been hiding in a drawer). The last NEW thing on this card are the flowers (Bo Bunny).

Card details, well if you have already been to Fussy and Fancy you may have noticed that quite a few of us made pink and black cards. The lovely April suggested that we add the option to make the DT samples pink and black to match our blog. Well I thought that was a great idea so I colored my image to fit in with a pink and black theme. I knew I wanted to make an easel card to go with the NEW theme and everything just sort of fell into place. The card stock, sentiment, and border punch are SU, DP is Making Memories, Bling is Me and My Big Ideas and I'm not sure where the ribbon is from. It wasn't until I was looking for a sentiment that I realized that this card was perfect for my niece's Sweet 16, which happens to be today. So sadly I will not be around to see how our first day goes but I will be back tomorrow. I look forward to seeing everyones creations.

I hope you will join us here for our first challenge. The sponsor for this challenge is Photobucket, check out their lovely images. They have digis as well as rubber stamps :). Also don't forget to head over to the other Fussy and Fancy girls blogs to check out their cards.
On to my New Years resolutions. The most important thing is that I get active. I need to for my sanity and to loose a few pounds (honestly I have a lot to loose but I'm taking baby steps). Another resolution is to create more. I want to post to my blog at least 3 times a week. The final one would be to let those who are an important part of my life know that they are important. Sometimes we don't realize people are a big part of our lives till they are no longer with us.
