Sweet 16 Centerpieces

Here are the centerpieces I have been working on for my niece’s Sweet 16. This is what the final product will be. I posted earlier my sample. This project was/is a lot of work, not sure if I am completely happy with the way they turned out. It is close but not exactly what I envisioned in my head. I’m thinking these will keep me from creating anything else the next couple of weeks. I know I have some DT stuff to get done but I might not be back to posting regularly till the New Year. I’m sure I will sneak in some blog surfing time though. Just incase I don’t get a chance later I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I just wanted to add this centerpiece has been a vision in my head since April, I looked high and low for something to CASE but came up empty handed. If you find inspiration from this please give credit where credit is due. Thanks!

Too cute teacher gift

OMG I love this little bucket. I found the tutorial here. Ok I realize Mr. Gingerbread is way to big for this bucket but I don't care, lol. I fell in love first with Mr. Gingerbread and had to buy him at Panera. Since this was my first time making the bucket I wasn't quite sure how big it was. Jennifer told me they were huge, but not huge enough for Mr. Gingerbread, lol. This was a pretty simple project, and I love the final product. The snowflake on the front is an ornament from Target, I knew I could use them in my crafting so I bought a few of them. The ribbon is holding the ornament down, I also put a small piece of tape on the sting to keep it from falling off. Thanks for looking.

All supplies SU except ribbon and snowflake.

Just wanted to remind everyone about the NEW Blog Candy over at Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge. Deadline to enter to win this yummy candy is Dec. 31 at 11:59 PM ( my Birthday by the way). The rules are simple, so head on over for your chance to win :). We hope to see you all there on Jan. 1, 2010 for our first challenge.

SPCC 28

I made this note card and clip for SPCC #28. I was hoping to make more for this set but Christmas cards and other projects took a bit of a priority. I am happy to say that I finished my Christmas cards and have them ready for hubby to take to the post office tomorrow. Now I just need to make treats for my daughter's class and a teacher gift. Actually I was hoping for this to be part of my teacher gift, so who knows I may add to this before the week is over. Thanks for looking! All supplies SU except ribbon and binder clip.

Card Patterns 44

Here's a card a made yesterday. I colored this image a while back when he was a freebie over at Digital Delights by Louby Lou. I found this sketch over at Card Patterns #44.
I'm trying to get my Christmas cards done so I can get them mailed out this week. I'm thinking I may be taking out my SU stamps to make some simple mass production type cards to get them out of the way a little quicker. I hope I can start tackling next years Christmas cards throughout the year, although I'm sure next year I'll be same way. Trying to get them all done at the last minute. I haven't even attempted a Teacher gift or Christmas favors for my kids classmates. This year I am way behind, oh well there's always next year, lol.

Hilda

I colored this Motivet image in yesterday to use her in A Spoon Full Of Sugars Challenge 80 (nontraditional Christmas colors). I used this Hilda stamp because I also knew I wanted to do Motivet Week 48 Challenge. So this Is what I've come up with combing the 2 challenges. I am a bit disappointed that I wasn't paying much attention while gluing down the main panel. Poor Hilda is lean a too much to one side, grrr. Her hands are suppose to be level. I guess I shouldn't be making cards when my mind is on other things.
I've been thinking of my sister in law who passed away in Feb. My oh my do I miss her. She used to make cards with me, so I do think of her often. Today is a hard day though for some reason. Anyways just want to say Cindy I miss you.

New Moon Experience

DISCLAIMER: I am not a scrapbooker.

I made these 2 8x8 pages, yes I said 2, for Twilight Tuesday's Challenge 56. It took me all day to do these simple pages. Anyways as most of you know I went to see the midnight showing of New Moon with Jennifer . These pictures were taken while we were waiting for the movie to start. We walked around the theater looking for a life size 3-D cutout of Jacob so we could take a picture with him but we had no luck :(. We did manage to find a New moon poster, so we were dorks an took pictures in front it. We also spotted the Eclipse poster, but there were a bunch of people waiting in line in front of it. Again we were dorks and waited for them to leave so we could get a picture with it.
My thoughts on the movie... it was most definitely better than Twilight. I had high expectations, therefore I was a bit disappointed. I wanted more Voltori (sp) and more wolf pack :). I guess I need to not expect it to be like the book and just go into it as if I never knew the story. That will be my goal for Eclipse, because you know I still plan on see the opening day midnight showing.
See the swirl at the bottom of this page? That swirl is the reason I picked that DP, lol.
The spot between the brackets will be where I journal, but that is a new concept to me so I left it blank.
My shirt has says "and so the Lion fell in love with the Lamb", one of my favorite Twilight quotes.
Underneath her sweatshirt Jennifer has on a Twilight shirt.

Supplies: SU Card stock and DP, Basic Grey DP, Thickers chipboard and foam letters, Colorbox Metal Dots

Sandy

Here's another Christmas card. I told you would be seeing quite a few Christmas cards from me, lol. This card features Sandy from Instyle Stamps. I was lucky enough to receive this image for free for being one of the first 150 followers of Instyle Stamps Blog. I made this card for for their challenge which was to makes a snow themed card using one of their images. My snow is a few layers of white flocking, I had to add a few layers because the blue card stock was showing through one layer. I found this sketch over at Card Patterns #43, I flip to the side but I think the original sketch can be seen. Thanks for looking!

Supplies: SU Card stock, DCWV DP, White flocking, Liquid applique (for the trim on Sandy's outfit), Copic markers

HO HO HO Morgan

Look who got some new Digi's. Yes me, I did, lol. This is a limited addition digi from StampInsanity called Naughty or Nice (Morgan), she can only be purchased at Stamp Happens. Oh and the Sentiment is also a StampInsanity digi, isn't it too funny. I colored Morgan in using the colors from SPCC Challenge 26. I picked the sketch from ICSketches #44 because it was perfect for the sentiment and image. I also made this card for Penny's Challenge No DP Allowed.
I made this card to give to a friend that I know will not be offended by the sentiment. I think it is a cute sentiment but I can see some be offended by it, so sorry.

Supplies: SU card stock and marker, Image and sentiment form StampInsanity, Dollar bin bling (Michael's or Joann's), paper piercer, flower made by Jennifer's mom, and Copic Ciao Markers

Bella in Forks

Here is one of the cards I made for SPCC #26. I used It's a rainy day by Softpencil. I am also entering this card in Softpencil's Challenge 9. Jennifer gave me the idea of this image being Bella in Forks, lol. I love these colors together. This is a color combo you will see again again from me :).
Supplies SU Card stock, sentiment and border punch, Softpencil digi image, crochet flower from Jennifer's mom, Dollar bin bling ( Michael's or Joann's) and Copic Ciao Markers

Pixie Dust Studio 1st Challenge Project 2

Oh my I think this Santa is too cute. This is my second project using him. This ornament was made for Pixie Dust Studio Challenge #1, where you can get this cute digi as a freebie. This time I cut out Santa and I colored him a little bit different. I used white flocking on the trim of his hat and coat. On his beard I used liquid applique. I had this coaster already covered with DP from last years projects, I remembered when I was thinking of what to do with this image. I think this turned out cute. Now I need to decide if I will keep it or give it away as a gift. What do you think I should do?

Supplies: SU DP, card stock, sentiment, ribbon, and Punch, Alphabet Stickers for "HO HO HO", foam snowflake, round coaster, Image from Pixie Dust Studio, White flocking, Liquid Applique, and Copic Ciao Markers

Pixie Dust Studio first Challenge and Delightful Sketches #12

Another Christmas card. I think you will be seeing quite a few Christmas cards in the next couple of weeks. This cute little image is from Pixie Dust Studio. He is a freebie for their first challenge here. I used the sketch from Delightful Sketches #12. I colored the image with copics, on the white parts of Santa's hat and coat I added a mixture of white flocking and Dazzling Diamond. On Santa's beard I used Liquid Applique.

I am pretty happy with the way this card turned out even though I cut a slither of Santa's glove off :(. I also have an issue with my red copic, it seems to sit on top of the paper. Is it the copic or is it my paper ( I use SU whisper White)? Actually I also have this issue with my green copics. Any input would be much appreciated, thanks in advance :).

Supplies: SU Card stock, ink, sentiment, punch and ribbon, Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses DP, white flocking with dazzling diamonds, Liquid Applique, and Copic Ciao Markers

Softpencil Challenge 8

I made this card for Softpencil's Challenge 8 Christmas theme. The image is a digi stamp called Our dear reindeer. I knew I wanted to use this Basic Grey DP with this image so I colored the image in with like colors. Not sure if you can tell by this pic but I combined flocking with Dazzling Diamonds and put it on the ground and snowflake.Supplies SU card stock and sentiment, Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses DP, Softpencil image, foam snowflake, and copic ciao markers.

Fairy Birthday Card and a DT CALL

Happy Monday blog world. Here is a card I made this weekend for Carmen to give to her mother in law. Carmen picked out the stamps she wanted me to use and we went from there. Her mother in law is into angels (so am I) and her favorite color is purple (mine too). It wasn't that hard to get the creative juices flowing even though I was tired from New Moon on Thursday night and stamp class on Friday night. This cute image is called Dainty Fairy from Auntie Amy's. I've had this stamp since June but this is the first card I made using her. I'm pretty happy with the way she turned out. Carmen colored in the little dragonfly with copics, she also cut him out. I also used copics to color the fairy. I added the little pearls because I felt like the card needed something, that is also the reason I added the crochet flower. Thanks for looking :).

Twilight Tuesday New Moon Blog Hop

Wahoo, the day we have all been waiting for has arrived. New Moon is finally in theaters and to celebrate Twilight Tuesday is having a New Moon Blog Hop. If you didn't arrive here from Jeri Moody's blog please start here. If you are here for the Artful INKables Blog Hop please go to post below this one, I made a different card for that hop.

Most of you know I am Team Edward, but I'm thinking for the movie I may be Team Wolf Pack. Sorry but Rob does nothing for me, lol. Since I'm thinking I may be a Wolf Girl, I decided to make this card. I uses Artful INKables Into the Moonlight and Fictionally Inspired Stamp sets and the Vampire Romance Themed Charms that can be found here. I colored Jacob (the wolf) with my Copic markers and cut the image out with my deckled rectangle nesties. I inked up the edges with SU Close to Cocoa Ink using a sponge. To give the charm more movement I put dimensionals behind the ribbon (I believe the ribbon is Martha Stewart from Michael's), the image panel and the sentiment are also on dimensionals.

When the post goes live I hope to be in bed, lol. I will have already seen New Moon (going to Midnight showing). I can't wait for the chatter about the movie to start. I'm really hoping I loved it.

Anyways here is my card for the Artful INKable Hop, this is not for the Twilight Tuesday hop I made another card that will post later. I used Into the Moonlight stamp set and The Vampire Romanced Themed Charms. I combined this with Twilight Tuesday Sketch Challenge 15. I really like the way this card turned out. I colored the image in with my copics and put crystal effects on the heart part of the image. The DP, card stock and brads are SU. I kept this card very simple to highlight the charms and main image.
