Preview Day 2 Sweet Gothic Kids Easter Judy

Hello friends, today is Preview Day 2 at Simply Betty. We are previewing Judy from the new Sweet Gothic Kids Easter line. These sassy Easter images will be available on Friday at the Simply Betty Shop  in digi and rubber.

I started coloring Judy in soft colors and had a hard time deciding which colors to add because my mind thinks pastels with Easter. I'm not really a pastel kind of girl so I decided to go a bit non traditional with the pops of black. This isn't your traditional Easter image so I figured it would be ok. Head over to the Simply Betty Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT did with Judy.

Creative Inspirations Paints- Easter

You Rock

Happy Friday everyone. Today I am sharing my card for Fussy and Fancy Challenge 32. Our challenge is to use the fabulous sketch created by Mindy

I made a card use 2 of my favorite things, Echo Park Paper and an image by Di's Digi Downloads. This is Little Rocker Chick, isn't she adorable. I paired her up with For The Record, the stickers are part of the collection as well. I love the little scrabble tiles especially because right now I'm a bit addicted to the game called Words with Friends. I'm not as good as some of my friends but it's still fun just playing with them. Well, thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend!

DICC4

Hello, today there is a new challenge over at Desert Islands Crafters ChallengeSharon was the winner of Challenge 2, so we are using the itinerary she created. Wow, I have to say that the possibilities are endless with this itinerary. Remember you only need to pick 3 items but if you can fit more on your project go right ahead.

Sharon's Itinerary

Not a Card!
Black & White
Celestial
Buttons
Unusual Sentiment (ie. not “Happy Birthday” or “Best Wishes” etc).
Charms
Wire
Fancy Fold
Fibres
No images

Here's what I came up with. I made an acetate box using this tutorial. I've been wanting to make one of these for a while now, couldn't believe how easy it was to do. Also this is a lot smaller than I thought it would be, perfect size for party favors. The items on the itinerary that I used are Not a card, Black & White, Unusual Sentiment, and No image.

Box filled with candies.

A Groovy Girl

Hello friends, I'm here to share a card I made this weekend using the new Echo Park Playground pattern paper. At first I wasn't sure if I was going to love this line. Well, now that I have it I can't wait to make more fun cards with it.
This card I made for my daughter's friend. Her party was "peace, love, groovy" themed so I thought Hippie Anya was perfect. The yellow bow was added after card was put together because my daughter insisted it needed to be on the card. She is so opinionated about my card making that she might need to make her own cards soon.

Challenges:
The Pixie Cottage 60- Sketch
Do You Stack Up 10- Layers
Little Miss Muffet 4- DP(Pattern Paper)

Supplies:
Hippie Anya from The Greeting Farm

Simply Betty Celebration Challenge

Happy Friday everyone. Today I am sharing my card for Simply Betty's Let's Celebrate Challenge. We are celebrating the release of Sweet Gothic World Kids in RUBBER.

DISCOUNT CODES:
all six Sweet Gothic Kids Birthday Rubber: $36.00 SGKBD36

three Sweet Gothic Kids Birthday Rubber: $18.00 SWGKBD18

I used my favorite girl Tilly Birthday. For some reason I really struggled with getting this card together. I think it was because I was set on using some of my Echo Park pattern paper. I've colored her a few times to go with that paper and wanted her to not look like the other times. Well in the end I used this blue that I pulled from a sheet of Little Girl pattern paper. Once I added the brown I decided she no longer went with that paper so I went through my papers and found these 2 Bo Bunny pattern papers. Crazy how you can envision one thing but in the end come up with something completely different. Below are the challenge I will be entering this card into. Have a great weekend.

Challenges:
Unscripted Sketches- Sketch
Fun With Shapes & More- Birthday
Fairy Fun Fridays 48- It's My Party
Digi Doodle Shop's Best 50- Pearls

Supplies:
Bo Bunny pattern paper
Kaiser Pearls
SU ribbon

A Couple of Card I Forgot To Post

I made these cards on Friday. The first one I made for my mom for her birthday. The second one I made for my niece for her birthday. They were over this past weekend so I was kind of busy. I meant to post them after I gave them out but forgot to. Since I forgot the challenges I made them for are no longer running. That's ok though, I mainly use the challenges for inspiration.

Challenges:
Hanna And Friends 84- Sketch

Supplies:
SU card stock
Echo Park Be Mine Pattern Paper
XPress It Blending Card
Want 2 Scrap swirly bling
Prima flowers
Copics

This card was for my niece Keira for her forth birthday. They are so much fun at that age. My girls have out grown the princess phase so it's nice to have a little one who still thinks she's a princess.

Challenges:
Stamp With Fun 100- Sketch
Supplies:

Dazzling Diamonds

SISC 50

Hello everyone, feels like forever since I've last posted a card. I actually have 2 cards I forgot to post over the weekend. I will hopefully post them later today.
This is my card for StampInsanity's 50th Challenge. Wow, I can't believe we are already at 50. This challenge is called Holy Guacamole, you can create whatever you want as long as there is a pop of green somewhere on your project.
I tried to make an "easy" card by opting to use a sentiment instead of coloring an image. Well, this "easy" card took just as long to put together as one of my more involved cards. I guess "easy" and I don't mesh.

Challenges:
Card Patterns 105- Sketch

Supplies:
SU card stock, border punch, and pattern paper
Maya Road hat pins
Flower and brad (unknown company)

Fussy and Fancy 31

Happy Friday blogging friends, today I am sharing my card for Fussy and Fancy Challenge 31. Our challenge is Embossing and/or Paper Piecing, I decided to do both. Our sponsor Paper Pretties generously offered digi's for the DT to use. I picked Cuddle Me because I thought it would be fun to paper piece her dress. This was my first time paper piecing with digi's and I have to say it was pretty easy. I will be definitely be doing it again soon. I need to run, have a busy weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

Veronica and Gang Release and Blog Hop

Hello friends, if you are here for the hop you should have arrived from Gloria's blog. If you didn't come from her blog but want to hop along please start at the Simply Betty Challenge Blog

For my card I decided to use Christy. She was colored with Copics on X-Press It Blending Card. I paired her up with this retired SU paper that I really wish I would have stocked up on. My daughter loves to tell me how I should color my images and she suggested that Christy should be a blonde. She's cute as a blonde but I'm thinking next time she will be a brunette. Enough about my card, next stop on the hop is Lady B's blog.

Challenges:
Inkspiration 59- Sketch
I Did It Creations 43- Punches or die cuts (flowers are from a punch)
